The duchess of Osuna wanted her own magic garden, so she had one made, and got all her friends to play in it. Sound unreal? Believe it. Ponds, lakes, animals, waterways and trees all come together to make this place a surrealy romantic place. The architectural styles cover all – French, English and Italian. There’s even a labyrinth. Words really won’t describe the place alone, you need to see it to believe it. Don’t miss it – it’s a queen’s playground.

  • Nice big park, not that touristic. Limited entrance (in summer might be tough). Out of high season, great place to sell and relax.

  • There is only one or two entrances. We walked all the way around to find out it was closed. Check hours before headed out to see this park. It does seem to be a nice place. Wish we could have walked inside.

  • El Capricho garden is a great place to enjoy nature in the Madrid city. The place was built in the XVIII Century with a Palace and a great landscape with a Italian style garden, a French style garden and a English- Chinese style garden. It is a very pleasure walking around trees and flowers, sculptures, and other surprises.

  • One of my favourite places in Madrid. Romantic park on the outskirts. Never crowded. So quiet and enjoyable. An absolue must. Easily accessible from El Capricho underground station. Different from anything else in Madrid. Don't miss it!!!

  • This is a small but beautiful park from sec XIX. It contains small buildings, gardens, a lake and some birds, among which, two spectacular black swans. Beware, in low season closes at 6pm.
