Named after the famous Dramatist Tirso de Molina, the Plaza Tirso de Molina dates back to 1840 and was built on the former grounds of Convent of Our Lady of Remedios.
The famous Spanish writer Joaquin Calvo Sotelo has mentioned this plaza in his work and also had his first painting studio- Valencian Joaquin Sorolla, here in the late 19th century.
