6000 animals covering 500 species! Considering that they’re all so exotic, they’re all celebrities really, but some are more so than others (sorry, but sexless giant pandas will always win out, even if they do no king-fu whatsoever). The dolphins, koalas and primates (Western Lowland Gorillas, Common chimpanzees, Mandrills, Mantled guerezas, Orangutans and several species of Lemurs) compete heavily for attention though. The animals are from everywhere. Activities include boat tours and train tours! The complete facilities cover the zoo, the petting zoo (they let you get personal with the Pandas), the aviary and the dolphinarium. As far as zoos go, the animals here are very well treated.

Awesome zoo!!! Totally loved it.. spent almost whole day here.. my kid just loved it.. loved dolphin show.. animals looked happy and well looked after..
A great zoo with lots of animals. Easy to get around. Very clean and the animals appear well cared for. Easy to get to via car and ample free parking. Great day out. If ideas in Madrid again I would revisit.
Best i have seen so far.... excellent layout with compatible animals in close proximity.... Parking is not a problem...(early August visit). Great atmosphere...
Great Day Here, Friendly Staff with English and Great directions on the signs. Kids/Families will love it here. P.s unless you're getting a taxi directly to the main gates, be prepared to walk a good bit from the metro station to the gates and then obviously around the huge compound where there's animals almost everywhere.
Overall I would give 5 stars for a lovely day out and for the beautiful animals. However I constantly saw stupid guests who clearly can't read, ignoring the signs of not to feed the animals. If theyd watch animal planet now and again they'd know that bears, monkeys and camels don't eat crisps and sweets. I saw no staff/zoo keepers for the whole 5 hours I was there. Very disappointed in the guests for ignoring signs and the non exsistent staff for not watching over their animals.
