Don’t miss out on this interesting massive chapel in the middle of the Indonesian forest. The most unique part of this place is its building shape which is shaped like a chicken, popularly known as chicken church now. This building is a pious tribute by Daniel Alamsjah who created possibly the most bird-like looking building in the world, complete with giant, squawking head, and ornate decorative tail feathers. Local artists have covered the inner walls with vibrant murals showing local mythology and history and there’s a small cafe nestled within the chicken’s rear that sells traditional, tasty treats. You can even climb up to the top of the bird’s head for amazing 360-degree views. A different experience for sure!
