Wilson Point - Review

If the rising sun makes your heart skip a bit and you want to treat yourself to stunning views of the same, Wilson Point is the place to be. Named after Sir Leslie Wilson, the Governor of Bombay under the British rule between 1923 and 1926, this is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar at 1439 m.

The vast and scenic plateau has three masonry platforms built for your convenience and is the only place that offers stunning views of both sunrise and sunset. With the advantage of height, it also offers surreal views of the Mahabaleshwar city below, transporting you to a world of peace and calm. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Mahabaleshwar Itinerary 3 Days.

  • Wilson point is a visual treat for both sunset and sunrise. If you are a professional photographer than this place is a must come for you. The lush greenery and long distance landscape for taking pictures is what makes this point photographers paradise. Make sure you come before 5pm otherwise tourist cars flock this place and you wont be able to get parking. Though if you have driver than you can ask him to park car away and recall after visiting this point. Overall a very chilling place in evening to end you day with calm and peace and the wind blows out of proportion during monsoon, so be careful with kids.

  • Amazing place to visit during after monsoons end. Although you won't be able to see sunrise during monsoon season but you will be able to touch the clouds 😝. This is what heaven might look like. A must visit place and enjoy the lush green fields and mountains view.

  • Amazing place with lush green scenary spread as far as one can see. Awesome place to visit during monsoons and after monsoons till Jan. Although you won't be able to see sunrise in monsoon bit it is definitely worth a visit. This is what heaven might look like. Try it out.

  • This is another view point between mahabaleshwar and panchagani. The road leading to this point is very narrow but it's worth taking a chance. You have two to three fort like structures on which we can climb and enjoy the nature around. Best time to visit : Early monsoon. Parking : has enough parking space for 20 cars. Big vehicles can't reach here. Food : Not available. Other attractions : Horse riding. Photography. Etc. Ticket if any: No need to pay anything.

  • Very beautiful point. Amazing view of valleys and greenery nearby. You feel like being on top of trees.
