First as a father’s loving gift to his son and then as a befitting residence to the President, this palace has served many purposes over the year. It was built in the year 1906. After the Sultan was overthrown in 1936, his grand gift to his son became government property. The building itself is a sight for sore eyes with its colonial architecture and carvings.

Exquisite presidential palace. Be sure to take pictures at the colorful front gate
Wonderful architecture still stand and displaying it beauty
Former official residence for the President. It is very colourful and at a glance looks like a school. Located across the road from Friday Mosque. As the gate is closed it is not possible to see what's inside.
A good place
It is one of the most historical place in Maldives
