Point Mugu State Park Reviews & Ratings

  • The park is simply awesome. We did bondfire camp and fishing . The overall experience was great. I really loved the place. There are several things you can do in the park.

  • I am here right now at Point Mugu state park on the other side of the large rock on Coast Highway this is fantastic you should come down if you can today or anytime and see how many dolphins are out here there's at least a hundred we also see seals out here there's a bunch of baby dolphins out here and these other dolphins are flapping their tails in the water like giving them some kind of schooling it's almost like a Maternity Ward for the Dolphins the Sharks and the seals that I've seen today if you get a chance come down it's beautiful a little overcast so it's not so hot high tide there is no beach there's only a beach at low tide it seems to be coming in right now so the beach is going to be going away for about 10 and 1/2 hours just in case you want to know this is a five-star pullover it's beautiful this is where the Chumash Indians used to have a village right up above us here where I'm sitting I'll share pictures

  • Wonderful and amazing Place great camping right on the ocean you still get to do bonfires this is a five-star Plus for camping with your camper or just buy a tent

  • There are two camp grounds . Big Sycamore and Thornhill Broome. I'm reviewing Big Sycamore . Wonderful campground within an easy walk to the beach and many trails up into the Santa Monica Mountains. Only knock is the reservation system and prices. Getting near $50/night and a 6 mo in advance reservation. But that is the way it is for all the popular state beaches and parks

  • Not the easiest hike around but well worth the track. Suggest going early in the morning as the morning fog will help keep you cool
