Another hotspot for surfing in Malibu, the Topanga State Beach is wonderful, less crowded and also features free showers. Ample parking is an added plus point of this beach. The waves are good, there are lifeguards on duty, everything is good except for no snack stands. So, make sure you carry food and lots of water with you, if you plan on staying here for a while. Given its location in the middle of Santa Monica and Malibu, it is a pit stop for many travellers.

  • A favorite place of mine and a place where I spent many of days back in the 60's and 70's. Lots of fun memories here and a place I remember well. Some places seem to remain pretty much unchanged over the years and this is one of them! If you are looking for a great place to spend a day at the beach. You can't go wrong here!

  • Such a good place in LA! A lot of surfers here! The waves are not very strong, so very suitable for fun surfing. I would really want to have a surf board since I came here. Will come back again!

  • Great locals style beach, lots of surfers and hippies.. I love it, beautiful views and lots of things to constantly see and keep you entertained and enjoying the beach experience. Love it! I've been here a lot and will come back. 😉😉

  • It's a nice beach for surfers, but Rocky shoreline. Lifeguard station and clean restrooms. People are pleasant and no one was obnoxious when I've been there. A few topless people but no complaints.

  • The water is pretty much always cold. But the sunsets are worth the visit. Hope you catch a nice one like this...
