Manu Temple - Review

The Manu Temple, named so after the famous sage Manu is one of the many religious spots in and around Manali. It is said that sage Manu found Manali and decided to meditate there due to its serene nature and pristine surroundings. Manu is said to be an ancient rishi often described as “the law giver”.

  • I would highly recommend you to start your journey from this mysterious but beautiful place for the whole spiritual experience. Please do not take your motorbikes. Just try to walk your way up. Photographer and artists can go crazy all they want. Because the local markets and the cafe are as they desire. The view from the temple is priceless and the temple is nothing but pure beauty. (I recommend this only for the adventure junkies and people without health problems. If you are non of the above just take a ride here which will be equally enjoyable)

  • I guess if you are a fan of hindu temple, you will be satisfied with this. It's a simple structure located on top of a steep hill. Requires a little bit of strength to walk all the way there from the river. You can go by motorbike or scooter and park it there. Takes about 5-10 minutes to visit.

  • A very bustling location with lots of shops and old houses. A lot of foreigners staying there and lots of hotels for them. Too expensive stuff at shops. Temple is good and provides an inner peace
