Situated next to the Bahrain National Museum, the Bahrain National Theatre, also called the Bahrain National Amphitheatre, is a 1001 seat studio theatre. This theatre first opened to public on 12 November 2012 and since then has been one of the most important theatres in the country. This theatre is also the third largest in the Middle East. The theatre is designed in a cubic glass shaped building and also has an artificial lake next to it. Built by the French company Architecture-Studio, many other architects and designers have contributed towards the making of this theatre. Inaugurated by the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa, this theatre hosts dance and other cultural programs.
