The climate in the village is warm and temperate like any other places in Cinque-Terre.
Summer (June – September): Summers often have an average temperature of around 28 degree Celsius. Many hiking trails opens up in this season. Hence, for hikers this is the peak season to visit Manarola. However, be prepared to face huge tourist crowd.
Autumn (September – November): The temperature in autumn stays around 24 degree Celsius. With pleasant weather, the warm temperature of the water also makes it easy for travelers to enjoy activity like swimming in the lake. Along with this, hiking trails are still open for hikers. On the other hand, there is less chance of seeing crowd. Hence, this off season can also be considered as an alternate option.
Winter (December – February): You could expect more rainy days in winter. And the average temperature of the place ranges around 15 to1 degree Celsius. Presepe – the Christmas celebration is the famous festival is held in this season.
Spring (March – May): The temperature in spring season can be around 19 degree Celsius. Around the second half of March, maritime service has resumed. By the beginning of April, the hiking trail opens up.
Among all these seasons, Autumn and late Spring can be considered as the best time to visit Manarola. This is because, there is less crowd in the village. Hence, there is high chance to crack hotel deal at a much lower price. However, summer can be considered but be prepared to shell extra money for accommodation.
