Also known as the church of St. Lawrence, it is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. It was built in the early part of the 14th century in the Gothic Style by the famous architect Maestri Antelami. The interiors are richly decorated and the charm is still intact. The brass relief designs on the arch are the symbols of the martyrdom of St. Lawrence.
The highlight here among the others is the rose window with 12 small columns, the very old Bell Tower which was earlier used for defense and the Baroque style vaults. The beautiful altars are the main attraction when it comes to worship with the statues of Madonna with a Child, St. Lawrence and St. Catherine. There are also altars of St. Dominic and St. John the Baptist.
