Still a good cinema. Yes it's old and dated but the picture and sound quality is still very good. The prices are reasonable, staff are friendly. And I like the fact it's not too busy.
In desperate need of a refit and new signage for the car park. Not been here for around 20 years and the seats, in the theatre 5 at least, don't look or feel like they've been changed since it opened. The foyer and toilets were very clean though which was a blessing. After living away from the area for 25 years you do forget where the entrance is, couldn't see any signage from the main road which for a place of it's size is pathetic
This cinema is like stepping back to the early 90s when multiplexes first opened. Desperately in need of a make over. Old seating, old screens and speakers which crackle and can't handle bass. Saturday afternoon and there were more staff than customers. Must have been amazing when it first opened, but definitely had it's day. 😔
The showcase cinema is never full. You get to choose where you sit (despite what your ticket might say) There is loads of leg room and the seats are comfortable. The only downside is I was really cold. I don't know if they had the air con on or not but I couldn't get warm at all.
Always space here, massive car park that is easy to get in and out of (unlike Cineworld at Didsbury which can be an utter nightmare at times). Loads of choice of what to watch. Best place in Greater Manchester for film viewing.
