The Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple is one of the country’s most magnificent and beautiful temples. The feeling of peace and spirituality comes automatically within. In the 18th century there was a lot of social unrest prevailing all around and the higher society people did not allow the poor and low society people to enter the temples in which they worshipped and treated them like untouchables. The poor and illiterates had no support above them to defend them.
As this started increasing the leaders and the elders of the Billava tribe approached the saint and spiritual leader Brahmashree Narayana Guru, who apart from being the head of their spiritual community also spread the message that there was one caste and one god and each individual had the right of worship in a temple. Narayana guru had already started building temples and after building 101 temples he was requested to extend his hand on Mangalore and so was established the shivlinga by the name of Kudroli Gokarnath in 1912.
Apart from the prime deity there are also idols of Lord Ganapathy, Lord Subramanya, Goddess Annapoorneshwari, Lord Bhairava, Navagrahas, Lord Shanishwara, Lord Shri Krishna, etc. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Mangaluru Itinerary 3 Days.

Kudroli Gokarnath Temple Reviews & Ratings
A very beautiful temple coloured mostly in gold all over. You can easily spend a few hours here. It's advisable to visit this temple in the evening since the weather is much pleasant then. Also, this temple has a really pretty fountain shooting out of Shiva structured place. That is really amazing. The fountain can only be seen in the evening post 6 pm.
My 3rd visit to the Temple. In every aspect you will find this temple awesome. Great ambience, spacious place to sit or roam around, cleanliness, . But toilet is the only area where it will let you down. Management should take all the necessary steps to resolve this issue. Each and every corner of the Temple is near and clean, only toilet area is the place where it disappoints you..
Very nicely designed sculptures, temple has given by modern touch and facilities like lift, glass house, pond, small garden of antique story telling. In the morning the surround of the temple feels very neat and fresh looks👍👍
Visited on 11June2019, beautiful temple, excellent scriptures, serene. Not many people in the temple, which made the visit pleasant. It was pretty calm. Will come back with family, God willing.
I am always mesmerised by the grandeur of this place.. Super clean.. Super systematic.. And it fills your soul with inner peace and devotion..
