Blue Bricks Reviews & Ratings
Been frequenting Blue Bricks since it opened in 1999. It is definitely a favorite. Food is usually good, though we have sent many things back for being over cooked. We simply ask that it is not over cooked when we order, and that usually works. Most of the staff are good, and very friendly, but there can be unreasonably rude bartenders, who are not liked by patrons or other staff. But we overlook those things, because we like the place. The wait staff ALWAYS gives us excellent table service, and even have glasses chilling for us before we even sit down. Also, it's best to go early to avoid the younger, louder crowd, if you prefer a calmer experience.
Interesting little place in entertainment alley. The food is actually pretty good. Wasn’t quite expecting the crab cakes to be spicy but I enjoyed them.
In previous years, Blue Bricks was my go to spot for food and drinks. Yesterday, I went in with my daughters and mother and we sat inside. It was a slow Thursday night. There were maybe 7 outdoor groups and indoors: only patrons at the bar. After 10 minutes, we had not been acknowledged by anybody, despite there being a bartender and 2 waitresses on staff. In an attempt to get waited on, we decided to move to the patio. First table we chose was completely broken - they had attempted to fix it with duct tape and zip ties, but it was still unusable. We moved to another table, which was better than the first but still very unstable. After having moved outside and still not been waited on, we decided to cut our losses and go elsewhere.
"Hole in the wall" kind of place for sure. But definitely strikes a chord in terms of dive and style. Rustic vibe with cool and talkative staff.
Come here if you enjoy quality drinks at a cheap price. The bartenders are usually cool, just shake your keys at them to grab their attention
