This beautiful church is a part of Spain’s cultural and historical heritage. Located at the north of Leon, this church is one of the most popular destinations for the tourists. The church originally served as a hospital for the pilgrims going to the pilgrimage of Oviedo. It also had a hostel for the pilgrims and provided them a place to stay. As time passed, the hospital and the hostel stopped working and only the church remained as a place for regular prayer. The church is built in the Romanesque style with brown sandstone and looks spectacular even from a long distance.
