Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions – that’s what you’re here to see. And boy can you get up close and personal with these fellas. Every 30 minutes, there’s a presentation on dolphin behaviour. The staffs are always talkative about their charges, so ask them anything. The dolphins themselves are always eager to people watch, and watching their group dynamics are fascinating. There’s a cute little mini-water park you and your kids can indulge in if you’re so inclined, called the Spray ground.
The Dolphinarium has a keen interest in making the trip especially fun for war veterans – that’s why they have the Veteran Gardens, a tranquil section created by the veterans of the Vietnam War.
For a steep additional price of $200, you can go for private encounters, which is a lot more personal experience of interaction. Book that way in advance though.

Definitely worth a stop, a must see! Staff was very informative and helpful. Paid extra to touch the dolphins and well worth it!
Was a great trip to bring the family. My boys, age 16, enjoyed themselves very much. They enjoyed this swim even more than at Orlando's Discovery Cove. The Dolphin Research Center swim was much more interactive with the Dolphins. And, the staff was super friendly, especially a sweet young girl named Lindsey, who obviously loves her job and sharing her knowledge of the Dolphins and other sea life. Great experience overall! 5 stars!
Wonderful place to be at the staff is very nice and they know their knowledge about all their dolphins. Dolphins are nice too. Great place to be at with the family.
This place is definitely worth visiting the Dolphins are treated so nicely and the trainers love what they do. The sea lions are also really cool. Also if you have an opportunity definitely swim with the Dolohins it is an experience you won't forget.
This is a great place to visit! We stopped here while on vacation and were amazed by the love these dolphins receive. Its easy to get around and not crowded at all. The small shows were fun and it was affordable for my daughter to spend time with the dolphins up close. Lots to see and a great way to spend a few hours. Nice little gift shop on the way out and even the food truck on site made a killer sandwich for us before hitting the road
