Considered to be one of the oldest universities in Germany, Philipps-University in Marburg was established in 1527. The building of the university is a spectacular piece of architecture and makes for majestic sight to behold. The university enjoys a large campus which is situated along the banks of the Lahn River. The premises are covered in well-pruned gardens and have tall trees. There are two large cafeterias and canteens on the grounds of the premises here. The paved paths in the university allow people to explore every corner of the campus. If you want to tour the university campus, you may have to seek permission in advance. Else, view this university from outside when you are in the neighborhood with some free time on your hands.
