  • AMAZING PLACE!! Bring your wife, girlfriend or whole family. Take everything you need to spend the day on a white sandy beach.. you'll feel like your on a island w/ very few around.. you will need to cross a small canal to reach the hidden beaches!!!

  • Beautiful piece of paradise... We took respite here from the Mosquitoes at Collier-Seminole State park and went here for the day. Lots of water and fresh sun. The area is kept nice and clean and you can even rent water bikes and paddle boats. Very cool find!

  • The place gets 4 stars in spite of being an amazing beach, the best I've visited in SW FL, for the abusive $8 they make you pay to get in. Florida, you have to stop this. $2 is fine, $4 is ok, anything over that is abusive. So this beach is special. Besides being the only public access to a great beach (ok, there's a long pedestrian access in downtown Marco island, half-hidden between the resorts), it is quite wild especially if you walk to the right, the sand is fine and clear, waters always warm, sea easy to get in and out. Getting there is a small adventure since you have to walk to a lagoon, wade through it (put all your belongings in your backpack and be careful not to fall as it is muddy), cross through a path among the mangroves and then you're there. When I last visited, the beach was much narrower than I remembered, possibly due to the waves and a rough sea. We still saw lots of birds, as you can see in the pictures, and the place is just haunting.

  • Tigertail Beach is not a beach it's a lagoon, at least it used to be. Now it's just a dirty swamp, don't let the pictures on the internet full you those were probably taken in the late 90s not recently. The real beach is Marco Island public beach Tigertail Beach just charge you $8 to park there, then you have to walk for 15 minutes just to get to the beach., it was ridiculous. Never the less if you are a skeptic and have to see it for yourself, I warn you not to bring stuff to carry or you will regret it when you have to walk back to your car.
