Apart from the Eiffel Tower, the city of Paris is known for its grand buildings. Place Colette is the place where the magnificent building of Palais Royal is situated. This place is a named after the writer Colette. This happened when his only daughter Colette de Jouvenel, who was the Minister of Culture requested to name this place after her father. Following this, an order was made on February 19, 1966. Later it was inaugurated on 21 March. The place is surrounded by some important buildings of the city.
