Remember, this is a farm, not a zoo, so don’t expect jungle and monkeys. The animals are traditional farm animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, chicken, goat, ducks, turkeys), with a few more exotic animals thrown in (kangaroos, llamas, ostriches and alpacas). The attraction is almost entirely children-oriented. Here, it’s all about the petting, the feeding and the cuddling.

You get to take part in bonus activities if you actually stay over at the farm for the night, such as pony and tractor rides. Check out the overnight arrangements, facilities and prices on the attraction website.

  • Animal food to be fed to the animals has to be bought separately from the farm for about AUD 3.

  • Bottle feeding is 10am-4pm.

  • You’ll have to drive to here. It's located just outside the city, to the north-west.

  • We stayed for 3 nights in the farmhouse. My 5-year old son loves the place so much. He fed the farm animals everyday. There was pony ride in the morning, chicken egg collection at 3.30pm and tractor ride at 4pm. They have 3 dogs who are super friendly and liked us to pat them. On good weather, Steve and Debbie (the couple who own the farm) will bring our son to play plastic boat by the river at the further end of their 316 acre of land. Steve also lights up a campfire for marshmallows.

  • I come here once a year and today when I came into the front office the girl at the desk was very blunt and gave off a rude vibe. No smile, no hello just a frown... not welcoming at all. The Farm is amazing though, love the animals. Will be coming back again, just hope in future the staff are friendlier.

  • This was probably the highlight of our holiday down south. We went first thing in the morning on a week day during the school term so it was very quite when we arrived (I think we were the only ones for the first hour). This meant that our daughter got to feed all the baby animals, which wouldn't have happened on a weekend. There were so many animals and the place was well maintained. We were skeptical about the coffee machine coffee but even that was nice! The kids were too worn out for the playground but we will one hundred percent be back.

  • Wonderful experience staying at the Sunflowers Animal Farm. Friendly staff, always ready to answer your queries. Clean environment and we'll equipped kitchen for family stay. Love the fireplace in our North dorm. 😙😁

  • My toddler loved it. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Friendly staff. Easy 10 min drive from Margaret River. Also has a playground but more appropriate for older kids like preschoolers and up due to drops etc.
