About The Grove Experience, Margaret River
Margaret River is famous for the wine country that surrounds it. This establishment capitalises on that fact, and provides you with 'The Experience', that is to say, a resort of everything related to the wine-making process and lifestyle.
The Grove started off as a winery, and then became a distillery, and then a brewery. The estate, which is located next to a man made lake, makes its own wine, shelf-spirits, liquers and ale. These it serves up with wood-baked pizza that you can eat in the cafe or in the Grove itself. Its main tour, the Distiller Experience, will take you behind the scenes of the craft, and lead you to sample the various spirits.
If one day isn't enough for you, you can stick around and stay the night. They run a hotel too.

The Grove Experience, Margaret River Reviews
This place used to be okay many years ago. They seemed to have become rather 'big headed', and I'm not sure as to why. There is nothing special or spectacular about their products, albeit the price tags are absolutely 'spectacular'. While I did enjoy their Dark Rum and their Gangster Stout, I feel the pricing is unjustifiable. I'm assuming they started charging for tastings because everyone was trying and no one was buying, so either the product isn't great, or the price point isn't there.
Lovely place which also has a cafe if you feel peckish. Yes you do have to pay for tastings but it's financially difficult for a small distillery to just give out freebies
We tried the Gin sting and it was aweful, and another cocktail which we also didn't finish, we were idiots and went a second time the man that served us was very rude, we ordered a spiced rum and spiced bourbon we all took a sip of both and got back in the car never to return.
Booked a tasting session for a group, was awesome. Entertaining, to the point and everyone enjoyed it. We all walked out with a smile on our faces.
I bought a 3 pack of liquor and when I got back to my hotel (40 minutes away) I open the box and realised I got given the wrong liquor I asked and paid for. I went back the next day and they kindly switched the liquor. It was a 40 minute drive there and back and I asked for a compensation or a discount for the time and fuel I used. They refused do to anything for me. Descent place but make sure when they pack your purchases you double check.
