A three star hotel in Mariposa, The Monarch is quite contemporary. A large range of amenities are offered here to every guest. Some of these amenities are parking, swimming pool, air conditioning, internet services, sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. With two rooms, namely Queen and King to choose from, you will be comfortable no matter what! The staff is efficient and will take care of all the things that you may need. While in the city, do plan to stay here for a night or two!

Monarch Inn Mariposa Reviews & Ratings
Nice hotel. They provide a gift bag with water and treats. That was a nice surprise. Comfortable room. Decent continental style breakfast.
Pros: They recently started having free breakfast which I didn't expect. The front desk people are super nice. Helpful with hiking questions. The room was a good size and bathroom was nice and not too cramped. Room was very clean with mini fridge and microwave. Cons: They are apparently still doing renovations so their lobby was being painted and the seating area was dirty looking. There is a pool but I didn't use it because it was closed for being "too cold" so it must be unheated and it's outdoors. When you park behind the hotel, you are on the first floor, and the lobby is on the third floor. There are no signs to direct you to the lobby. You just have to figure it out. My suggestion: Renovations like painting need to be done as quickly as possible on non busy days so guests don't have to see it. It makes the place look bad. And have the maps of Yosemite at the desk so people can see it easily
Very friendly service. Medium sized Fridge and microwave in the room is the best. Breakfast could be a bit longer than 9 or the coffee stronger. Also some Togo containers for the leftovers afterwards would be a nice way to avoid food waste. They also forgot our soaps on our room. A hose in the shower would be also a nice feature. The shower curtain is not annoying as in many other hotels.
Lady, started with a M, was very rude checking us out. She should not be in the hospitality field. She does not know what that word means. Otherwise, hotel was fair. A little outdated, and linen was a little on the rough side. Fix bedding and front desk, you may have a better rating. Breakfast had a lot of muffins, bagels and Danish. Did have cinnamon rolls.
Room was small but clean (with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker). Bathroom was large and neat , probably the best feature of this hotel. Ample parking space behind the hotel. Spartan breakfast spread (bread/toast, cereal, boiled eggs), fruit juice and coffee. Quite expensive for the size of room and ameneties but that might be attributed to peak Yosemite season. Major con here is that wifi might not work in your room. The routers get full easily and your device might not connect. Workaround is to use wifi from some other floor or from the lobby.
