Marker Museum - Review
Aimed at preserving the history of Marken, the Marker Museum is a must visit for those who wish to learn more about this historic island. The museum is actually spread across six historic houses that were once used for smoking eels in the past. Now a Rijks monument or a National Heritage Site of Netherlands, the museum stands proud telling the story of this fishing village for the future generations to know and learn from. The Marker Museum also focuses on educating people on ways to keep the island clean. There are various exhibits like textiles and costumes, ceramics, paintings and prints, utensils and folk art that you can browse through.

Marker Museum, Marken Reviews
Nice cute small buildings that looks like they came out from a toy. Good place to take pictures. Nothing much there, not much eateries, a few shops to buy sourvenirs. Can be accessible by wheelchair, but few toilets.
nice little museum in a nice little town on a nice little island. must visit, typically Dutch!
Great place to dive into the Dutch culture and explore traditions. A museum - village, where you can see what real Holland is about. You can get there by bus in just 30 min from Amsterdam Central Station. There are a couple of cafés there, restaurant and gift shops. Amazing view on the Ijselmeer with many sail yachts on a sunny day. Definatley a do!
Very small and way off the beaten path, but lovely and showcased cool exhibits.
good vibes. nice house. obviously a must photo spot
