Dayton Bluffs Preserve Reviews & Ratings
This is a great find for nature lovers who want a quieter choice than Starved Rock. The Fox river-front property is traversed by deep ravines and native forests carpeted with multicolored wildflowers in the Spring. I like to go in the winter, when you can really appreciate the varied topography. Huge thanks to Brook MacDonald and the Conservation Foundation for their vision and hard work!
LOVE this place. My new favorite hiking haunt. Hidden gem.
Dayton Bluffs is pristine natural woods and prarie. Include a hidden pond and easy access to the bank of the Fox River. The parking lot is usually empty. A nature lovers dream.
Great layout but wish that the trails were clear and mowed. Will come out another time.
The entrance is a little wonky, I thought I was driving into someone's farm field. So beautiful and much bigger than I expected!
