Gamers and video-gaming enthusiasts need no introduction to the Masyaf castle, featuring the popular video-games series Assassin’s Creed. The game derives its name from the history of Masyaf Castle- the castle once belonged to Rashid ad-Din Sinan, the leader of the Hashshashin sect of the Syrian wing, also known as the Assassins. Constructed atop a natural limestone hill, this castle provides a clear view of the surrounding village and plains. The castle, which earlier lay in ruins, was restored in the year 2006 and is now a popular tourist attraction in Syria.

Masyaf Castle Reviews & Ratings
Nice place. The same can't be said about those guards though.
Guys altair ibn la ahad means the flying son of nobody Altair is supposed to represent hasan alsabah
It was here that I discovered a strange truth: that I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding. 5/5 would find Altaïr's vault again.
To all Ubisoft Fans please Read the History, Masyaaf castle is in Syria, Alamut castle is in Iran and both belonged to the Ishmaelite Shia sect, and the suicide missions ISIS use today Originated from there, although ISIS are not related to the Hashashin nor root back to them..anyway these castles are now a touring sites so for those who commented if they can register to join the order i sadly say to them..find a time machine first lads. The hassassins are demolished by Hulago Khan of the Mongols...
