Olowalu Beach is located in Maui, Hawaii. This pristine beach is a great place if you are interested in snorkelling. It is home to oldest reef structures in the Hawaiian Islands. The rich biodiversity under water will give you a chance to be a part of an interesting ecosystem. It is also a lovely place for scuba divers with calm and clear waters. If you are not interested in exploring the water, consider spending a couple of hours on the beach. Though the coast is a bit narrow, you can still enjoy a relaxing walk and admire the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Beautiful, but the reefs are hurting and are getting worse every year. Let's hope visitors use rash guards and reef safe sunscreen. I'd love to have a sign there saying that chemical sunscreens are killing our reefs and they can recover if we are diligent about taking care of the ocean!
Nice relatively quiet beach near the turtles and roadside fruit vendors..
Awesome place! There are trees right by the water providing shade, it's protected from the wind, not much of waves, good for kids. Perfect spot for snorkeling!
This is strictly a review about snorkeling this location. They area was calm and the coral/rock formation looked interesting from the Google satellite images, but was very disappointing. The water was murky from rain runoff. Additionally, the coral looked half dead or covered in silt. There were still fish, but not nearly as impressive as other areas of the island. I suggest skipping this spot if you want to snorkel. I swam out about 400 yards before turning around. The depth was about 12 feet. Maybe it's better much further out, but it's not good for near shore snorkeling.
Amazing beach! Great place for snorkeling! Calm waters
