Claska, Meguro Reviews
I picked this place as the reviews were positive. Didn’t disappoint. I got the modern room which I accidentally booked a smoking room. As they didn’t have any non smoking available they went and deodorised the room for me before I arrived. It didn’t smell at all of smoke which was fantastic. Overall I stayed at 9 hotels on my trip and this was my final and most expensive. Compared to other hotels with tiny bathrooms, this bathroom was huge and amazing amenities. I wouldn’t call the room modern rather retro. I especially liked the wooden furniture and as expected for the design and age of the furniture it was shabby chic and scuffed. Staff spoke English very well and were super helpful. I had no issues at all with the place and enjoyed my 3 nights stay there. I didn’t mind that it was a 12min walk from the closest station as I’m used to walking everywhere and it was bearable even in the heat. I will definitely come back.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Great neighbourhood and wonderful boutique hotel. Our room was large great bed with spectacular bathroom. Food was also very good. We would decimately be back
We have spent two nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The service has been great, and our room is very spacious and well-equipped. There is a small restaurant on the ground floor which has nice food but can be a bit slow. The only real downside to Claska is the distance to the station, but it's easy enough to get a bus if you don't want to walk.
A full complex including Hotel, Art Gallery, Craft Shop and Izakaya Restaurant, this was a great find. Go to the second floor for some great locally produced household items and don’t miss out on the izakaya. The sour plum French fries and the peach salad were amazing.
As others have noted, this hotel could do with a bit of a tidy-up (really just a lick of paint and a few fresh cushion covers!). However, it is easy to look past this as it has tons of character and is a charming place to stay.
