Hotel Fukudaya, Meguro Reviews
Really liked this place but it took me a couple of days to work out how it all works! Now I’ve discovered how to use the Japanese style bath (single occupancy and lockable door!) they can’t keep me out! The futon was so comfortable and with a western pillow, I slept like a log. The bathroom looks very old fashioned but the water pressure makes for an amazing shower. Friendly staff, very limited English but that’s fine. WiFi is good.
Loved the atmosphere, the placement felt a little bit away from everything but only by about 300 meters. It has great views and the Japanese style room are awesome. It was a bit awkward since im not used to those kind of customs but that is point of traveling. To explore new culture and customs and here at this hotel i felt like from begining and the end that i am in japan.
Beds are comfortable, staff is nice. Worth a stay if you are looking for a cheap place to stay.
Japanese style hôtel. Very clean. We have a good stay.
Very close to Shibuya city and station. The hotel is decent, the main attraction of the hotel is it's distance/price. It is reasonably clean, but when I stayed there was a lot of dust in my room, even after I got the room cleaned by staff. It is not a traditional ryokan, it just looks like one. They do not serve meals and do not have an onsen. They do have a very large family bath that is constantly heated and very warm. I recommend this place if you just need somewhere to stay on a budget.
