Kampong Kling Mosque - Review
The original structure of this mosque credits its construction to Indian Muslim Traders and dates back to 1748. Originally a wooden structure, the mosque was rebuilt in brick in 1872 and is one of the very few traditional mosques in Malacca that have retained their original structure.
There is Sumatran, Chinese, Hindu and Malacca Malay architectural influence on the structure.
Attractions include: Minaret, Ablution pool, entrance arch, glazed tiles, columns with symmetrical arches, Victorian chandelier and wooden pulpit.
