This is a replica structure of the extinct Sultanate of Malacca which ruled the city before the arrival of Portuguese in the 16th century. The plan was chalked on the lines of Sultan Mansur Shah’s palace who ruled the city from 1456 to 1477; it is one of a kind structure. It gives the visitors a rare glimpse of the ancient Malay Kingdom.
The palace also houses the cultural museum showcasing around 1300 items of Malacca’ past. This includes photographs, weaponry, drawings, musical instruments and gifts from foreign emissaries.
- The changing of guards takes place every Saturday and Sunday in 2 hourly periods, beginning at 11.30am.
- RM 0.50 (Child)
