Catani Gardens, Melbourne Reviews
Good place. Near to St Kilda beach! Nice place to walk around. There are some good restaurants around. Walking bit further towards beach have good view of the city skyline. Evenings if the weather is shiney you can get a chance to see sunset. It's next to the busy beach road, many vehicles makes it bit noisy.
Great place for families with kids. Pram accessible, playground and beach & lots of shade. Down side: dogs are not allowed
Catani Gardens in St Kilda West is a beautiful and well maintained gardens. Being close to St Kilda Pier and by the sea, the gardens is in a picture perfect location. The gardens is a perfect place for picnics and for children to play and is also often used as a venue for weddings and wedding photography, open-air festivals including creative arts and music festivals, and other community events. The weekend gentle pony rides are popular with families. The facilities at the gardens are excellent and include, restrooms with disabled toilets and baby change, a large children's playground set into a large sand pit and with shade sails and bright contemporary play equipment, a large rotunda/gazebo which is ideal and often used for intimate weddings and wedding photography, BBQ’s, foreshore cafe kiosks nearby, picnic tables, bench seats, drinking fountain, beautiful walking paths lined with magnificent large Canary Island palm trees, perimeter paths for walking or jogging, large areas of lush green lawns and mature shade trees, fun possums and birds to look at, and lots of great foreshore views, a picture perfect spot for sunset viewings. The main disappointment here is the condition and cleanliness of the toilets. The public toilets need more regular maintenance.
Calm and peaceful place.. it is a bit windy though because of the proximity to the Bay.. good place to sit quietly.
Is a great inner city park, please clean after yourself when here
