One of the finest architectural examples in the city that represent Gothic Revival architecture, St. Patrick’s Cathedral dates back to 19th century. The cathedral was designed by William Wardell, it is dedicated to patron saint of Ireland- St. Patrick.
The church reflects the origin of local catholic community. The stunning bluestone exterior and the interior boasting tonnes of bells, the organ with 4500 pipes and the elaborate windows exhibiting beautiful stained-glass are worth admiring!
The church is also home to the remains of the archbishop.
