  • We were booked in for a standard room for the night and upon arrival discovered that we had been upgraded to the King George V Suite. It was amazing a huge suite with far more space than we needed. Certainly one of the most luxurious stays we've ever had at a hotel. The decor is refined and elegant without being gaudy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a great selection. The location is hard to beat. Down the Paris end of Melbourne with plenty of high end shopping and trams and Parliament train station pretty much at the door.

  • Greeted genuinely at the door. smooth and quick check in. Room was big, spacious and on a freezing day outside, the warm pre heated room was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely return again.

  • What a great Hotel! Drove up and our car disappeared. Our bags beat us to the room. Staff friendly and efficient. Loved our 2 nights here to explore Melbourne. Would have loved to have dined here but the Resurant was closed. So l will need to return. When we left our car reappeared. ..magic. Very relaxed stay.

  • Had high tea here and the service was great. The food and tea were delicious. Very filling for high tea I couldn't finish everything. And the ambience and atmosphere very polished and classic. Loved it!

  • Nice hotel with old world charm. Cheerful pub downstairs (Cricketer's Arms). A little on the expensive side for standard hotel but close to train stations, gardens and popular Melbourne restaurants.
