This architecturally unique building houses the history and memory of the late entertainer Danny Thomas who was the founder to St. Jude’s. The history of ALSAC and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital are also preserved in here. A part of the pavilion is decorated with the displays focusing on the life of Danny Thomas as a humanitarian and on the other hand the history behind the establishment of St. Jude’s. It is an institution that trains children and parents to fight against catastrophic diseases.
The unique layout of the building is in the shape of a star with 5 alcoves surrounding the rotunda. The inside has Terrazzo flooring with geometric designs on them. There is also a dome with marble covered columns that support a cupola. This is elaborately painted in blue and green with strokes of purple and magenta. There are arched panels with calligraphy done on them.
