  • So good you'll slap yo' mama is their slogan and it is true. I have had most everything on the menu and it is all great. Their pulled pork is tasty and their ribs are great as well. Really good sausage and cheese plate, the best way to start your meal off. Also, fantastic banana pudding, the best way to finish up your meal. Decent beer selection as well so you can get something to wash your meal down with.

  • I used to work in Memphis and frequented all of the Barbecue joints in town. This is probably still the best Barbecue in Memphis. (The only close competitor is Central). As soon as you walk in the door, it feels like home. The aroma of old wood, smoked meat and good food permeates the air. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a good dose of Southern charm and a friendly staff to set the mood. All of the meats are well smoked, tender and juicy. The ribs are simply the best you’ll have. Get “the Boss Hog”, which is 4 meats, ask for an extra plate and share it with someone special. Then, if you still have room, finish off the night with their homemade banana pudding. Since it’s popular, and there is only space for about 75 to sit at a time, expect to wait for about 30-40 minutes to sit down, but it’s worth it. Otherwise, call in your order and pick it up to go at the counter.

  • A coworker recommended this place to me and I'm so glad they did. Everything we tried was delicious. The pork skins, the BBQ nachos, the BBQ bologna sandwich, and, yes, the banana pudding. Everything was great. Some of the best BBQ I've had in Memphis.

  • Spent the weekend in Memphis and had to check this place out. Great food and friendly staff. Our waiter Brad (Jack) 😂 as my son called him was fantastic! My daughter loves the tamales. Will go back next time we are in Memphis!

  • My wife and I have eaten here many times and never had a bad experience. It's a smaller eating establishment with plenty of seating and service is always very good. With that in mind, the food will definitely bring you back again and again as the ribs and barbecue sandwiches are outstanding. One last thing, don't even consider leaving without trying the coconut pie! Speaking of the pie, I have bought a whole coconut pie to take home (they sell the whole pie!) for friends and family. Highly Recommend!!!
