Four English gentlemen led by the banker Henry John Mylius met on the 10th of January 1907 at the Hotel Victoria in Menaggio to found the Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club. Visitors particularly favoured the lake area between Menaggio, Tremezzo, Cadenabbia and Bellagio. The Club House is the symbol of Menaggio's tradition. If you want to enter by taking a step into the past, into a corner of England as it was a century ago. The golfers who will visit it, the Club House at Menaggio is a remarkable place: the wood floor worn by the footprints of over 100 years of history, on the walls the old prints were hanging, the plaques embossed with the names of the "Captains", the racks were professed golf clubs from ancient days and a huge fireplace to warm you on autumn days. Every corner of this club house speaks of the history.
