Cafe Du Monde, Metairie Reviews - Write a Review

  • Love the coffee and love the beignets. Didn't realize there were more locations than just French Quarter, was a wonderfully surprised. Veterans parkway local much easier to get to and not as crazy busy as original.

  • A hallmark of the New Orleans area. Glad I stopped in at this accessible suburban location near the freeway with available parking instead of trying to park in the french quarter. Can't say I'm super impressed by fried dough covered in powdered sugar though. Yeah, its good. Yeah, its popular. If that is your thing then this is great. It was good but I grew up dropping pillsbury biscuit dough into oil and frying and then eating with butter, honey-butter, jam, or powdered sugar. I just don't see this as earth shattering. Frankly, I'd be just as impressed by a visit to Dunkin Donuts! I hear the coffee here is a staple as well with the steamed milk.
