Montecristo National park is popularly known for its rich biodiversity with a plethora of native flora and fauna. There are about 177 tree species; 42 types of pines in the pine forest, 200 species of orchids, 27 species of Pteridophytes and more than 20 species of fungi. The park has a garden which is called “The Garden of 100 years” and here the tourists get an opportunity to see almost 70 species of orchids which is a treat to the eyes. One of the unique characteristics of Montecristo National Park is the tree in the form of a hug offering a great photo opportunity.
