  • Still a problem using Canadian licenses at the kiosks. Was supposed to be fixed a year ago. HOWEVER they did take us to the desk without having to line up. Pick up was great but due to low lighting in the garage we did not notice the inside of the car was dirty until we were well on our journey. When we returned the car we told the on site manager and he looked after us more than satisfactorily. We always use Alamo now, used to use Avis. Price and service superior!

  • Fantastic service! The pick up was so smooth, took about 5 minutes. We had a row of cars to choose from, which was fun. The Drop off was so easy as well. Everyone who works there are super friendly. Definitely will rent from Alamo again!

  • Did the online check-in and by passed the lines. This is by far the best way to go. There was a large selection of vehicles to choose from in my selected car class. My vehicle was clean and in good condition. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and easy to talk to. Next time I am in Miami I'll definitely look to rent from Alamo again.

  • Excellent experience! Juan Rodriguez at the exit booth was very professional and helpful. Juan was simply amazing! He should deserve a promotion and be rewarded. I wish all Alamo associates were like him! I will book my next car rental in Alamo for sure again and I hope Juan can be working on that day because I'm sure that no one is like him.

  • We had a bad experience. My wife booked the car online, and paid in full with a debit card. My wife went to the airport to pick up the car, and she was told that she can not pick up the car without a major credit card (even though the car was already paid for.) She took an Uber to the airport, so she was basically stranded without transportation. I then took an Uber to meet her, and I brought one of her credit cards. The guy at the counter said that he would need to start a new rental with the credit card, which didn't make sense to us, since the car was already paid for with the debit card. He told us to cancel the other rental when we get a chance (he said he couldn't do it himself.) So we picked up the rental car, and went about our day. A little bit later, my wife called to cancel the original rental. She was told there would be a $100 fee for cancellation. My wife explained that we actually did rent a car, however we were instructed to cancel the other order. The lady on the other end of the phone became rude and "conveniently" the call dropped (I think she hung up on my wife.) My wife called back, now some other lady was telling us it would be $50. I told my wife to just pay it, and be done with it. So she agreed, and I thought we were done. Then we saw that the full rental charge went through on our bank statement, so my wife called back and spoke to some nice lady who promised that she would refund our money for the car that we didn't rent. She even gave us a confirmation number. However, we were then told that for some reason we were being flagged as a "no show" and that she can not refund our money. We clearly did show up, because we have a rental car. We were originally told by the staff at the Alamo in the airport that it wouldn't be an issue, and that we wouldn't get charged for the other car. So in the end, we ended up being charged for two cars. Seems extremely unfair, because all we did was follow the instructions of the Alamo employees.
