Patricia And Phillip Frost Museum Of Science, Miami Reviews
One of my favorite science museums. From the Planetarium and the roof top terrace to the cafe and gift shop, this place is awesome. Next to public transportation if you don't like Miami traffic or parking, family friendly to all ages. I visit here at least once a month, I love the fish and rotating exhibits they bring in. The events for young adults are fun too. Check out their website before going and consider a membership when you're there. Sometimes it's cheaper to get a membership than to get tickets for the museum and shows. Check out the Friday music laser light shows too, so much fun to be had here.
One of the best science museums I have ever been to. The cost is manageable, the concessions are fresh and they even have a Starbucks!... Not only that they're is tons of stuff for kids to learn with and great activities everywhere. Don't forget to also pay a little extra and go to the planetarium! Pretty inexpensive, but of course if you add in everything it can be expensive, but it will definitely be an amazing memory. I know they also have yearly passes and that can get you into some really cool events and purge cool stuff!
This place totally rocks! They offer so much to see, explore, and learn about without leaving any age group out. I would estimate about four hours to see most of it, more if you want to read every placard, even more if you want to go to their theater for the show that's included in your ticket. Their food court includes Starbucks items on the quick grab side, and tasty meals on the sit-down cafe side. Top floor down was suggested and I agree it was a good flow. Can't wait for my next trip here so I can see even more!
A must-see in Miami downtown, the museum is huge and hosts a 3 story aquarium along with a Planetarium and other temporary exhibits. Gorgeous panoramic roof terrace with a 360 view on downtown Miami from an interesting height. The museum in general seems aimed towards families with kids as the approach is everywhere more didactic than scientific. Amazing building. Book/Gift shop is a geek's paradise.
The Philip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science has become a favorite place for us to visit. The Museum of Science strives to share the power of science, delighting audiences with special exhibits, the Brain for example became a favorite of ours as we studied the powerful gift each human possesses, billion neuron connections that have achieved the transformation of Planet Earth into s wonder of history and art. Located in Downtown Miami, the Museum is divided into 4 buildings, the Frost Planetarium, Aquarium and North and West Wings. We have the opportunity to learn about the living and solar system, the universe as we travel through the videos offered at the Planetarium, the physics of flight, light and lasers, the biology of the human body and mind... and so much more... We have explored all that it offers several times, we are annual members and are allowed to take a guest with us, which has afforded us the opportunity to take relatives, kids and visitors to South Florida, making sure everyone becomes familiar with this great addition to what South Florida offers. Frost Science is dedicated to education, offering summer camp so children find fun / educational activities for summer vacation. The mission of the Frost Science is to inspire and connect people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy science and technology, creating a better understanding of ourselves and our world and they exceed on expectations.
