At the Vizcaya, you’ll find yourself surrounded in by Italian Renaissance gardens, a woodland landscape and a historic village compound. Once owned by businessman James Deering, it’s now overseen by the Miami-Dade County. Take the audio tour when you get here. It’s available from the rather friendly and on location store. Experience the architecture, the paintings and the layout. It’s a gem of a place and almost as rare; the attraction, which has suffered extensive environmental and hurricane damage in the past, was once listed as one of USA’s most endangered national treasures. It’s all the Miami-Dade county can do to maintain it.

Vizcaya Musuem And Gardens, Miami Reviews - Write a Review
This place took our breath away. We visited in November and the weather right off the water was perfect. Admission is $18/person and well worth it. You could spend all day here touring the house and grounds. Stay and grab lunch and look out at the water. The house contained so much history and elegance for being over 100 years old. They have everything beautifully displayed and carefully protected from light and humidity. The gardens are equally impressive and quite massive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. This would also be a great place to take wedding, engagement, or senior pictures. So picturesque and right on the water!
I loved this place so much! My husband finally convinced me to take the drive down there and I'm so glad I did. My teenage boys enjoyed it too. Very family friendly.
Beautiful place! If you go by metro rail. They give you 2 Dollars discount in the entrance with your easy card. (Till December)
I love Vizcaya. It is always so beautful. The artwork is incredible as is the entire estate. I always recommend Vizcaya to visiting family and friends. Its a must see, if you are in Miami for a few days - absolutely worth the visit. Oh, and the Deering story is interesting too!
Loved the place. It seems like a bad idea, all these bought pieces putting together, all these styles, but somehow it worked for me. Just the gardens seemed a bit roughed after hurricane. Would love to see fixed pool.
