The Zoological Wildlife Foundation or ZWF Miami is an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about endangered animals in captivity and in the wild. They currently offer private tours for visitors and educational tours for school groups. The petting zoo has several rare and exotic animals and visitors can interact with them in close quarters. They also have a unique animal rental facility for events, private parties and film shootings. The animals are sent with a handler to care for and mange them. The ZWF also offers the opportunity to adopt and animal, donate towards its upkeep and visit it 50 times a year.

We found Zoological Wildlife Foundation a year back, while searching for a fun place to spend our summer day. Actually, my daughter and I are a huge nature and wildlife lover, and I thought that it would be perfect for us to visit a popular petting zoo. As per their guidelines, we booked our appointment for the best package that included the encounter and photo session with the animals. The zoo has a variety of exotic animals, and the best part is that you can interact and get closer to them. You can even pet and feed most of them, which was an absolute treat for them as well as for us. Their staff is friendly and has great knowledge about all the animals. They helped us learn about some of the endangered animals species, and also enjoy our day at its best. Thank you Guys.

  • My friend and I came while we were visiting Miami and had a fantastic time! Annabelle answered all of our questions and was very informative. We got to hear inside stories about the animals. ❤ Mario is an incredible guy and runs a well-maintained facility where the animals are adored and cared for very well. We had an experience of a lifetime!

  • Great place. Guides were so knowledgeable and professional. Animals are not trained for entertainment and they are not forced to breed. I appreciated learning about the facility and their practices as well as learning about the animals.

  • *this review does not reflect an actual experience at the facility since I was told it’s not wheelchair accessible* I wanted to love this place so much, I follow them on social media and honestly I’d be happy to just meet Igor! So I called today, to ask some questions before planning the trip for my husband and I, well my planning came to a halt very fast, as the woman who answered the phone wasn’t the kindest, but I will say maybe she didn’t mean ill, just maybe didn’t put much thought into in. I asked her a few questions about the general tour, she said exactly the same as the website states, then I asked the real IMPORTANT question, “is it wheelchair accessible?” she flat out said “no it is not, it’s all a mud trail” that was it, no follow up, no attempt to accommodate, nothing at all. I guess this review can at the very least serve as a warning to others who have accessibility needs, but personally? She and all staff should be trained on not only empathy but also etiquette, a follow up question would have not hurt, an attempt to deviate from the standard tour to make it comfortable to my needs, anything, instead she immediately turned me away.

  • Do not support these animal abusers! It’s a petting zoo run by an infertile couple who dress monkeys up in creepy clothes and treat them like human babies. This is NOT wildlife conservation! Shocking that this place has such a high rating, but this is Florida after all…

  • Husband surprised me with tour & baby lion encounter for birthday. Best gift ever. Enjoyed all animals, lots of interaction and staff was amazing. Going back again soon!
