Zoological Wildlife Foundation - Review

The Zoological Wildlife Foundation or ZWF Miami is an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about endangered animals in captivity and in the wild. They currently offer private tours for visitors and educational tours for school groups. The petting zoo has several rare and exotic animals and visitors can interact with them in close quarters. They also have a unique animal rental facility for events, private parties and film shootings. The animals are sent with a handler to care for and mange them. The ZWF also offers the opportunity to adopt and animal, donate towards its upkeep and visit it 50 times a year.

We found Zoological Wildlife Foundation a year back, while searching for a fun place to spend our summer day. Actually, my daughter and I are a huge nature and wildlife lover, and I thought that it would be perfect for us to visit a popular petting zoo. As per their guidelines, we booked our appointment for the best package that included the encounter and photo session with the animals. The zoo has a variety of exotic animals, and the best part is that you can interact and get closer to them. You can even pet and feed most of them, which was an absolute treat for them as well as for us. Their staff is friendly and has great knowledge about all the animals. They helped us learn about some of the endangered animals species, and also enjoy our day at its best. Thank you Guys.

  • Cannot recommend this place highly enough! We had the most incredible experience at ZWF foundation today. All animals were happy, relaxed and well cared for. The entire facility is spotlessly clean and very well kept. We booked the complete experience and had up-close personal encounters with different monkeys, a lemur, an owl, a macaw, an alligator, ferrets, otters, sloths, a white lion and a chimpanzee (an additional encounter we added whilst we were there). A huge thank you to our guide Jacob who was absolutely amazingggg, he was so knowledgeable about every animal at the facility and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed every encounter. Thank you for a wonderful day that we’ll never forget.

  • Husband surprised me with tour & baby lion encounter for birthday. Best gift ever. Enjoyed all animals, lots of interaction and staff was amazing. Going back again soon!

  • Magical place! The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly. They are very informative on animal awareness and background. The beautiful animals that reside here will steal your heart!

  • I can not believe people go to that place and don’t see it for what it really is. It’s a couples’ exotic game collection monetized and subsequently declared a charity for tax purposes. Four lions live in an enclosure smaller than my little cat’s “enclosure”. Every animal has a tiny cage. This stuff normally doesn’t bother me too much but it’s frustrating when it literally feels like a scam. When I asked about the conservation efforts, little to no responses were given. Please don’t do what I did and do your research before you go!

  • I LOVE THIS PLACE! They were very knowledgeable when it came to telling us about the animals, and had many animals they were able to bring out and show us. We got to pet their baby wolf, a snake, two simians, a hedgehog, baby alligators, and an owl. My husband also surprised me with a jaguar encounter, which was the best experience of my life! This little guy had so much energy and was so adorable, I loved it!
