Lory Park - Review
Lory Park is a zoo and bird sanctuary that was established in 2000 that offers close-up encounters with the animals along with big cat and owl feeding. The aim of giving people this chance of animal encounter is so that they get to have a better understanding and respect these wonderful creatures. Also, for all those people who aren’t so courageous to feed the big cats, the option of feeding cuddly bunnies is also available. There’s even a small restaurant within the park that serves snacks and other refreshments in a shaded area under the trees. While you are there, the resident honey badger and the tortoises are a must-see.

Lory Park, Midrand Reviews
Well kept space. Animals are in great shape & well taken care of. Could have interaction with the African Greys & Owls. Worth more than only one visit. Families can spend quality time here. Well done to Owner, Management & Keepers.
I understand the need to preserve animals but it breaks my heart to see the larger animals in small enclosures. As far as zoos go. Lory Park is good for little children. It's not too big to walk around and they can see all the animals
Amazing animals and clean environment. This park really cares for its animals and that's why you should support them! Careful of the Jaguar... He likes to spray 😁
Beautiful facility, excellent maintenance, I adore these animals. The white lions, the closeness to their wildness and the pacing tigers... an absolute favourite of mine and my kids.. Respect.
A decent family day out. But the price is extremely high considering how small the zoo is. The enclosures for the big cats are cramped and with tiny kids walking around, some of the information on display is really grotesque (such as the info on how tigers are bred for their fur and canned lion info). Yes, children need to understand how inhumane people can be, but when they can't read, then all they see are frightening pictures of dead/dying big cats. In my opinion, a child should come away from a zoo feeling exhilarated. Instead, my children came away grossed out by those information boards. Won't go back.
