About Armani Silos, Milan

This fashion art museum, housed inside what used to be a 1950s Nestle granary, displays around 600 items from Giorgio Armani life's work. These exhibits are spread out over 4 floors. On the ground floors is Stars and Day wear. Exoticism on the first floor, Colour Schemes on the second and Light on the third. Finally, there is also a digital archive, which contains the designer's drawings, photos and illustrations. The museum itself is a stark looking place, with black and gray surfaces lit by natural light.

  • Well curated Armani archive! Welcoming staffs! Spacious and very minimal concrete venue! Although the location is a bit off from metro, will go again if they made change in the permanent collection.

  • A pilgrimage for lifelong students of fashion. Spanning four floors and four decades, this is simply the best, most comprehensive display of a single designer's work that I have ever seen. Not a single pane of glass separates you from the pieces. You can view then as intimately as you wish, with only the company of well-dressed guards keeping a discreet distance. At 12 euros admission, including free Wi-Fi and app, I highly recommend a visit if you have any interest at all in fashion and style. This experience moved me in a way that no church or monument ever has.

  • Amazing place! Stunning!

  • A pleasant experience. Whether you are or are not a fashion lover, this place gives you a very interesting overview on the brand evolving style and everlasting elegance. Loved how the outfits are displayed and the interiors. Plus I was surprised by the politeness and patience of the employee (we were a big and lively group)

  • Worth the visit if you are into fashion, very nice archives
