At first you think why would you go to a cemetery? But the moment you see this place even from outside you sense a great level of magnificence. This cemetery is full of artworks, classic and modern, which will catch your eyes. The atmosphere is quite calm and peaceful. Very well-guided with a lot of signs. A must-see for every tourist coming to Milano.
I've been in quite a lot cemetery around Europe and I can assure that this is one of the best, amazing architecture for the main building and for each single tomb. Some of the most important Italian figures are buried here, a must for a tourist.
This place is beautiful. It closes at 6 but they'll kick you out about a half hour before closing. Some areas are like walking around a city of the dead. Plan for about 1-2 hours here. It's a welcome break from the more crowded tourist attractions because it is quiet. Sometimes, too quiet.
Even though it is cemetery, when you enter it you feel like in museum!!! Very interesting and beautiful place, full of emotions and very inspiring place. Every statue of this cemetery is peace of Art!!! If you have time, it is highly recommended to visit this place!!!!
Unique cemetery. It worth visiting if you have additional time in Milan.
