Corso Garibaldi - Review
This historic street is named after one of the four major figures in the Italian unification movement. Today is one of the best places in the city to fill your stomachs. The street is about one kilometre long and entirely bursting with bars and restaurants and cafes. Check out the boutiques too, they are really eclectic. There are lots of neoclassical architectural highlights and tourist stops on this street. These include Chiesa di Santa Maria Incoronata, Teatro Fossati, Piccolo Teatro, Basilica di San Simpliciano, Largo la Foppa, Libreria del mondo offeso e Libreria Utopia, and the la Casa degli artisti. The northern end of the street is marked by the Porta Garibaldi, a Doric style neoclassical arch, flanked by 19th century custom houses.
