The park gets its name from its location between two churches - the Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Basilica of Sant'Eustorgio. Nearby are some Roman ruins, the Colonne di San Lorenzo. Most of the park's traffic comes from the fact that the surrounding neighborhood is a highly popular nightlife area. The park is also appreciated for its various trees - maples, ash, cherry beam, hornbeam, beech, oak, poplar, elm and pine. There are three small play areas, a volleyball area, and lots of benches to relax on.
