Parco Delle Cave - Review

This used to be a sand and gravel quarry, almost 100 years ago. The excavations left hollows that were filled up with water, in which locals began to fish. A few decades later the area was converted into a park, complete with trails, grass and bike paths. There are three lakes here now. As far as sheer greenery goes this is one of the nicest spots in the city. Bring a picnic. Alternatively, you could eat at one of the numerous surrounding eateries.

Parco Delle Cave, Milan Reviews

  • Great park and really bug. Lots of places in the grass to chill and lakes to swim in. In the summer the water in the lakes can get pretty warm. Also when the weather is nice there might be some ice cream stands!

  • If you have your own car, this is a hidden gem in the city. Perfect if you're on a city break and want to make the to either sun bathe or have a picnic by the lake. Parking is free.

  • It's a massive park with many lakes. Good place to relax and get rejuvenated. A natural jungle in midst of all the concrete jungle is what would be. Perfect description according to me.

  • Parking is easy and free. The park is big and has several lakes. The tracks around the lakes are very good for jagging or walking. The atmosphere during summer is very romantic with many blooming flowers. It is highly recommended that you bring with you your picnic food as no stationed shop is close by. Sometimes ice cream buyers carts are roaming the place which is good for the little one but with high prices. Small playground is located close to the parking area.

  • Such a cool place, with massive nature, flowers, trees, many lakes. Very good for various sports or for family trip.
