San Sebastiano - Review

The shape and size of this 17th century church is rather unusual for Milan - cylindrical and slender, built in Mannerist style, capped with a dome. There are two reasons for this. First, the space around the church was very limited. Second, the funds to built the church were limited. The church was built to mark the end of the bubonic plague in Milan. It is also unusual in that the building has functioned as both a religious and civic space over the years. There is a pipe organ from the 20th century inside.

San Sebastiano, Milan Reviews

  • Very beautiful place. If you like you can buy a candle and light it in there.

  • In this church that is close to the apartment where I lived for some years I spend a lot of time. It is small and ancient. There are wonderful ancient decoration that maybe need to be recovered. I recommend to visit, pray and leave an offer.

  • If you're a religious person you gonna be there many times, if not you will not loose anything to enter and see, nice and small.

  • Ok!
